I wish you were with me tonight
for it's one of those evenings
when I sense the very essence of you
and that always takes my breath away
I feel the tidal forces rushing in
swirling with quivering energy
Surrounding me with a rhapsody
of emotions and vibrant colors
Captivating me with all the wondrous
possibilities of love's first kiss
Will it be gentle like the rain
or will it be born of a lustful fire
Oh, to savor and feel my body ache again
with that craving which must be quenched
And what will you taste like
as we gladly surrender to our passions
To feel your eager hands caressing me
with the urgent power of your hunger
Pulsating, needful rhythms cascading
and rippling shock waves clear through me
until I'm caught in an irresistible tidal wave
As it flows within me
like an icy river of fire
Surging out of control
towards the discharge
of all the pent-up pressures
Beckoning me to fall within it
forever and a day
And then while the embers still glow
to hold you as slumber claims its due
Realizing that the reward for patience
was the fulfillment of a dream
and relishing the love we'll share
So many, many lifetimes
have I searched and waited for you
Sometimes I just sit in the darkness
and allow the silent tears to flow
while I imagine looking into your eyes
The intensity of those moments
is mesmerizing and intoxicating
As the sheer joy of loving you
takes me to a magical realm
where true, unconditional love
resounds and lives forevermore
